OAKDALE, CALIF. – The 61st Annual Oakdale 10 Steer Roping, produced and sponsored by the CTRA (California Team Roping Association) in the Cowboy Capital of the World was another great success.  Again this year, CTRA used the ACTRA numbering system and the 10 Steer was divided into two divisions, a #5.5 that was won by Nathan Wohld and Joe Robinson and an #8.5, won by Seth Mielke and Rhett Kennedy.

Other ropings held during the four-day event, which was held September 1st-4th, included the Open Roping that was won by Andy Holcomb and Joseph Shawnego. Century Roping winners were Randal Shepherd and Todd Hampton. Joseph McCurley and Lane Wheeler won the Phil Stadtler Memorial Roping. The Joanie Gatz Memorial All Girl Roping champs were Rylee George and Christine Tidwell. Saddles were awarded to the average winners of all events excluding the Open and Century Ropings.

Winners of the Dummy Roping were Lyla Riedel, 6 & Under, Tucker Alexander, 7-9 years and Ruby Riedel, 10-12 years. CTRA extends a big thank you to Oakdale Feed and Seed, B & B Truck Stuff and Tres Rios Silver for the buckles and prizes and supporting our future team ropers.

A big thank you goes out to all of our supporters for helping make our 61st Annual CTRA 10-steer a success! Without the sponsors, advertisers, volunteers, and all of the ropers...we wouldn’t be able to keep this tradition going! So thank you, to all of you!
