Greetings Rodeo Fans!

In February, our inter-district rodeo or Red Bluff Shoot Out as it is called, packed a powerful punch! Over 160 High School Rodeo members from Districts 1, 2 and 3 came together for a weekend of intense competition. District 1 dominated in most events except for the rough stock. Our own Adam Kammerer won the Bull Riding. Clayton Brum topped the Saddle Bronc Riding and Clayton Biglow won the Bareback Riding. District 1’s Colton Campbell won the All-Around Cowboy and District 2’s Gianna Cianfichi won the All-Around Cowgirl. Way to go Districts 1 and 2!

Last weekend our own District 3 held their March rodeo in Lincoln. Alexis Lincoln won the Sr. Girls breakaway average with a great time of 6.72 on two head! On Friday night, we had a fundraiser Breakaway Roping Jackpot. I think the calves had power packs on because they seemed to jet propel themselves to the end of the arena! We had a great time and raised some funds for our district.

This month’s April rodeo will be the last rodeo for our Jr. High Division. They will receive their awards at the end of the Sunday rodeo. Dates for that are April 5-6. Thank you to all the sponsors who support District 3. We couldn’t do it without you! God bless and never give up.

Hey there, rodeo fans!

On March 21-23, Challenge of Champions pitted all nine districts in California against each other for the ultimate showdown. With about 30 contestants from each district, adding up to a grand total of approximately 300 entries, the competition was a fight to the finish!

District 3’s Clayton Brum topped the Saddle Bronc championship with an average score of 147. Colby Demo took first in Bull Riding with an average score of 77. Molly Sparrowk narrowly missed first place in cutting with only five points to tie, but came in second with an average of 292.

It was a long winter break, but CHSRA District 3 is back on track!

We concluded 2013 with our annual Inter-District Fall Classic rodeo hosting District 1 at our rodeo grounds in Lincoln, Calif.

As always with an Inter-District rodeo, the competition was fierce. Jackets were awarded to the event winners, as well as buckles to the all-around winners. On January 25-26, District 3 kicked off 2014 with a great rodeo! The sun was out and the ground was dry... couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!

District 1 hosted Districts 2 and 3 for our second Inter-District rodeo held in Red Bluff Feb. 15-16. There was a 4D Barrel Racing Jackpot, co-sanctioned with NSBRA on Feb. 14, with $400 added and pay-outs to third place.

We hope everyone has fun and safe rodeos; good luck to all District 3 contestants, safe travels and God bless!
