Vacaville, CA – Oliver “Ollie” Simpson passed away on Thanksgiving with family by his side at the age of 74.
Preceded in death by his sister Diane and brother Phil, survived by brothers: Walter and William, his son: Guy Simpson, daughter: Spring Krogue, son-in-law: Jason Krogue and many loving family members.
Ollie was a lifelong resident of Napa and Solano counties, he was proud to be a Pomo Indian as well as a cowboy. Ollie was a horseshoer for more than 50 years, a skill he learned from his father and was able to pass along to many others.
Ollie was an outstanding horseman and will be missed by many family members, friends and horses. Services for Ollie were held Tues., Dec. 10th at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif., with a gathering held at his home in Vacaville, Calif.
