Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux announced that retired Tulare County Sheriff Bob Wiley passed away on August 19 at the age of 87.
Wiley served as the county’s sheriff from 1967 to 1991 and the Bob Wiley Detention Facility north of Visalia in named in his honor.

 
JT Cox, August 9, 1984 - June 19, 2023

JT Cox, age 38 of Pearce, Arizona passed away from an aortic aneurysm on Monday June 19, 2023, in Tucson ,Arizona.

 Jim Hanner passed away in his sleep at his home in Shafter on June 11. Jim was born in Oklahoma on August 24, 1937. When he moved to California he made Kern County his home.

 
Dorothy Basso


LIVERMORE, CALIF. – Dorothy Basso passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023, after a short illness at the age of 97. Born Dorothy Mae Faria on January 6, 1926, to Ernie and Helen Faria. Together with her eldest sister, Anna, they were raised in Livermore. Dorothy attended 5th Street Grammar School before graduating from Livermore High School in 1944. On Valentines Day in 1948, Dorothy married the love of her life, Ernie Basso. Together they raised two children; Steve and Sandy.
