PASO ROBLES, CALIF.  – San Luis Obispo Cattlewomen held their annual fundraiser roping to benefit agricultural scholarships on November 3 at the Paso Robles Event Center. We ran six ropings and a total of 339 teams.
   Saddle winner with the most money won was Brinan Varian from Parkfield, Calif. Our Lil Cowpoke was none other than Jessica Wilson, assisted by her uncle Clayton Grant. Buckles are awarded to the average winners of the #9.5 roping in memory of Don Loftus and Dawson Brooks (Delaney Browder and Dan Engler). In the #11.5 Wendy Scalise Memorial and Margaret Avila buckles were awarded to Lee Oliver and Scott Hutchins, and in the #12.5 Handicap Brown-Bermudez buckles go to the high pick team (CR Wilken and Brinan Varian), and Alex Madonna/Nealer Pryor memorial buckles to the high draw team (Chad Nicholson and Carl Wilken). In the Open Draw, average winners received Gene Rambo/Matt Silveira buckles going to Ryan White and Cutter Machado).
   In the Switchender, Best Ever Pads were awarded to the average winners, Brinan Varian and Cody Mora.
   We are so lucky to have Colleen Enk announcing, Roxanne and Sonny Sanders pushing steers, Fran Tognazzini, Jill Heely, Dakota Rodriguez, Cheryl Gay Rambo, Dee Lacey, Katherine Wheeler and Carla Young attending the books. Thanks to flagger John Max Robertson and the cattle crew.
