BANGOR, CALIF. – Ropers came in droves to celebrate one of the most loved and respected horsewomen from Northern California, Patti Parker.
Patti left us February 22, 2020, and after numerous attempts to hold a memorial service for her, weather and COVID restrictions won out. Undaunted, husband Jim Parker and one of Patti’s dearest friends, Adele Brown, joined forces along with family members and friends to celebrate her in the most fitting way, with of course, a team roping. And that team roping had to have a Mixed Roping as well as an All Girl Roping, two of Patti’s favorites.
A day was picked, Saturday May 21, and dear friends of the Parkers, Mark and Debbie Warnke, stepped up to offer their beautiful arena in Bangor, Calif. for the event. Mike Brewer brought the steers and NTRA number system was used.
A saddle made by Patti’s nephew, Roy Branco, was given to the high money girl of the day and fittingly, Denise VonTour was the winner. Denise has been one of Patti’s closest friends for many years. Congratulations Denise!
The winners of each pot won breast collars and second place won bronc halters. These were made by Denise and were gorgeous! $500 was added to the All Girl and the winning team was Barb Kellogg and Karen Moore.
Patti’s family would like to thank everyone who came out and supported Patti in the best possible way.

Results follow and payoff is per man.
