JT Cox, 38 August 9, 1984 - June 19, 2023 JT Cox, age 38 of Pearce, Arizona passed away from an aortic aneurysm on Monday June 19, 2023, in Tucson ,Arizona. JT grew up in Chino Valley and graduated High School from Hillside Christian Academy. JT possessed a wide range of work and tradesman skills but is best known for his horsemanship and natural rodeo cowboy abilities. JT won many championships from his early years in the Arizona Junior Rodeo Association (AJRA), Arizona High School Rodeo Association (AHSRA) and as a professional in the Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Association (GCPRA) and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). In recognition of JT’s rodeo knowledge, skills, and abilities, he was awarded a scholarship to the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) by Shawn Davis and became a member of the Golden Eagles rodeo team in the Rocky Mountain region. As a member of the CSI rodeo team JT boxed at the annual CSI fundraiser, against the CSI college boxing team; coached and encouraged by Mr. Davis, JT won the three-round match over his opponent.
