From Page 24 ✍Dear Editor: This past Spring I had the misfortune of having a young horse fall on me and break my leg. Unfortunately it required surgery and a long healing period. Thank you to everyone who has checked in on me. I want to give a special shout out to California ACTRA for their nice card and generous check from their Catastrophe Fund. My sincere thank you. Larry Williams Lincoln, California ✍Dear Editor: Ropers Sports News has been called “The Roper’s Bible.” People couldn’t wait to get their paper so they could make their “roping plans” and figure out what ropings to go to over the the next few weekends. Don Gatz and Dick Hemsted ropings, Cresta’s, Sanders, Semas and here at Brewer Productions whether at the home arena in Los Molinos, California, or other Brewer produced ropings in Browns Valley, Cottonwood, Palo Cedro, Butte Valley, Corning, Colusa, Redding, Sutter, Lincoln, Ukiah, Etna, Anderson, Red Bluff, Middletown, Orland, Willits, Covelo, Chico, Quincy, Sierraville, Montague, Yuba City, McCloud, Cotati, Boonville, Healdsburg and more. It has always been about the people in the office at Ropers Sports News: Bob, Steph and Jenny. They have been putting up with Ol’ Brew and getting my ads, results, photos and check in time for the next deadline. Bob even let me pen an article once a month called “Jus’ Brew” during the 80’s and 90’s. Brewer’s Arena started in 1964 and started running ads with RSN in 1974. I have pretty much been advertising every month since. Thanks for everything RSN! What a ride! Mike Brewer Los Molinos, California Editor’s note: Mike Brewer and Brewer Productions have been advertising with Ropers Sports News for 50 years, never missing a month of production, what loyalty and patronage!
