The 37th annual Cinch USTRC National Finals of Team Roping returned to the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, April 19 through 26, paying out $3,465,615 across 22 divisions and once again earning its reputation as the largest team roping event in the world. Across eight days and three simultaneous arenas, more than five thousand teams from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America made their way to Cowtown chasing championship buckles, trophy saddles, big paydays, and the kind of memories that only Fort Worth in springtime can deliver.
If there was a single image that defined the 2026 Finals, it came in the very first roping of the week. From the second call-back position, father and son Jade and Colby Corkill stepped into the box together in the #16.5 Shootout, handled four steers in 28.00 seconds, and walked out with the championship title and $21,400. The Victoria, Texas, header and his Stephenville-based son shared a hug in the arena that set the emotional tone for everything that followed. It was a reminder of what makes the USTRC different from any other roping in the country: this is still, at its heart, a family sport.
Jade Corkill wasn’t done. He climbed back on his horse a few hours later, headed for Tanner Tomlinson of Angleton, and stopped the clock at 30.18 on five head to win the Open Shootout for $28,500, making him the only roper at the 2026 Finals to win two championships in a single day. Corkill’s Open win was particularly meaningful given his return to top-level competition throughout the 2026 season after a stretch away from full-time rodeoing.

Andrew Duncan of Dexter, Kentucky, was the other standout double winner of the week, bookending the Finals with championships in two of the most competitive divisions on the schedule. Duncan won the #9.5 Hot Heels Shootout average heeling for Kail Brunson of Plainview, Texas, on a 32.07 on four head worth $54,200, then came back the final Sunday to head for Kelton Corkill in the #7.5 Classic Equine Championships, capping the week with a 25.69 on three head for another $25,500.
The single richest check of the Finals went to Rylan Rogers of Ecru, Mississippi, and Sam Griswell of Ramer, Tennessee, who handled four steers in 29.20 seconds to win the #11.5 Bloomer Shootout and $66,300. The 18-hole division paid out a total of $318,280, the largest purse of the week and a reminder that the middle handicap divisions are where the USTRC’s recreational ropers compete for the kind of money once reserved only for the Open.
Paul Murdock of Mcleod, Texas, drove home a brand-new truck after winning the #9.5 Holiday Auto Group Truck Roping average with Levi Berry of Grandview, while also collecting fifth place money with a different partner. ProRodeo Hall of Famer Tee Woolman of Bluff Dale returned to the winner’s circle in the #12.5 Horse Power Boots Legends Over 40, heeling for Chase Wiley of Pleasanton on a 30.39 on four for $24,100, and fellow ProRodeo Hall of Famer Rich Skelton of Llano also drew a paycheck in the same division.
The week saw young guns and seasoned veterans both leave Cowtown with big checks. The two-Ryder team of Volf and Davis took the #13.5 Succeed Shootout for $54,500, Clay Holz and Gabriel Salgado claimed the #12.5 Resistol Shootout for $58,000, Bradley Jackson and Randy Weaver won the #10.5 Priefert Legends Over 40, and best friends and practice partners Kallen Nichols and Friday Andrews of Winnsboro, Texas, took the #8.5 Stretch Shootout. Cassidy Boggs of Stephenville and Rylie Smith of Whitsett claimed the Cinch Ladies Open, while Tauna Alcorn of Artesia, New Mexico, and Roany Clendenin won the #9.5 Incentive payout.
With the 37th edition now in the books and an announced return to the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, on the horizon for 2027, the USTRC closed out another chapter of the most consistent national stage in amateur team roping. Top 10 results from each division follow. Complete results for every division and every roping are available at the USTRC results page.
