Words are powerful. They can be life shaping. We can use them for good or bad, to build or destroy, to point people in the right direction or send them down a path of regret.
When you talk, do not say harmful things, say what people need. Words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will do good to those who listen to you. Ephesians 4:29 says, “Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”
I am a firm believer in not speaking bad on yourself either. If we are not careful, we can do it so easily. An example would be, “My head is killing me.” Have you ever really thought about that statement. Don’t speak negatives on yourself like that.
We need to learn to speak to people’s potential and not what they are doing at that time. What kind of vision are you casting for your children, spouse, or your grandchildren? As a leader, what kind of personal visions are you casting for the people that have invested their time and talent in your vision?
We get many opportunities each day to sow into people. Are you taking advantage of that, or are you using it to destroy someone’s dreams?
I believe we are all called to be a light in a dark world. But before I can save the world, I have to start with me. I need to be putting the right stuff in and putting myself in the right position to succeed and speak life to others.
Until next time, God bless and see you down the line.
