Three Trucks Up For Grabs At 2nd Annual Truck Explosion

     Produced by Double C Productions and Load ’Em In The Dark, 830 teams roped at the 2nd  Annual #4 & Under Truck Explosion held January 27-28  in Queen Creek, Ariz. The teams enjoyed the high payouts – $140,000 in cash and prizes over the two days.
     On Friday the open got the day started with 14 of the best teams in the southwest taking a run at the $3,780 payday for 1st. It was the team of Riley Minor and Bucky Campbell who nabbed the top honors by roping five steers in 38.33 seconds. The trailers continued to pour in as ropers were coming for their chance at the $1,000 that was going to be given to the high point of the #13 and #12, and the big winner was Jake Blackrock.
     Saturday was more of the same – low fees, high payouts, with 540 paid teams in the #4 & Under Triple Truck Roping. With three trucks on the line, the tension was high and in the end the girls stole the show. The high point winner was Betty Pack, who won the roping and placed 3rd in the average. The #3 & Under truck went to Shelby Boisjoli. The fast time truck was the talk of the day, and the team to rope it off was Benson Begay and Cory Dick. After a three-steer match, Cory Dick came out on top and took home the truck.
     The 2nd  Annual #4 & Under Triple Truck Explosion was a success and it was certainly a roping you didn’t want to miss. Thanks to all the ropers who come out and support our ropings!
