Henry Cagliari, July 27, 1934 – August 13, 2018
Henry Herman Cagliari passed away at his residence in Fernley on August 13, 2018. He was born in Sheridan, Nevada on July 27, 1934 to Henry and Rosie Cagliari. He grew up in Gardnerville and Yerington. Henry attended and graduated from Sparks High School in 1952.
Henry was a cowboy at heart, he went to work at the Big Canyon Ranch at Pyramid Lake for several years, going on to work for Sierra Pacific Power Company in the water department in 1954. In 1957, Henry was drafted into the the US Army, where he served for two years. Upon his return he went back to Sierra Pacific Power, a career that lasted for 42 years and one month.
Henry loved the outdoors, his horses, he was a buckaroo, an avid roper, and a horse shoer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Josephine.
Henry is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Cliff Wilbanks; sister, Gloria Williams; granddaughter, Megan; and numerous nephews.
A celebration of Henry’s life was held August 24 at The Gardens Chapel in Fallon. Burial was at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley with full military honors.
