Lily Hanson & Pealer Win Run2Win Championship

CORNING, CALIF. – The West’s hottest young gun barrel racers came to strut their stuff at the Run2Win 2015 Finals held September 26-27 at the Rolling Hills Equestrian Center. 565 total entries battled for first in the rounds that paid almost $1,000 each day. When the dust had settled, $56,000 in cash and awards were distributed. Lily Hanson aboard Pealer ran the second fastest time of the weekend, as well as winning the Open 4D average.

Awards were given to the top 16 and included Sharon Camarillo Courts Saddles, a week of therapy and Aqua Tred at Staley Equine Recovery Center, Back on Track Quickwraps, buckles, headstalls, halters, Professional’s Choice support boots and bell boots, Over & Under as well as a TapIt for Speed, Irle Girle Frames, Veterycin goody bags, Lameaway, cowhide backpacks, boot bags and hay bags.

Run2Win is simplifying the membership process for the new season after voting by the members. You pay one membership fee which becomes your permanent # and you can run as many horses as you like. In addition, we are combining our Youth & Senior classes to be an 18/45 class. Payouts will be better due to more participation.

In the end, it’s just not possible to have such a great race without Jack and Dave’s ground, Lisa and Kim helping in the office, Steve Smart keeping the race energy up, Jeff Freitas with all the videos and webcasting and especially my arena crew; Sharon Pettay, Jenny Sites, Kim Brown, Henry Chaffin and the two youngsters who volunteered and then worked their fannies off. Run2Win most of all thanks its members for being the best part of Run2Win. They are why we do what we do!!
