OAKDALE, CA – Marion W. Schwoerer passed away peacefully on February 27, in Oakdale with his family and close friends by his side. Marion was born in Vallecito, California.
Marion was an accomplished cattleman and horseman throughout the livestock industry and rodeo world. He participated in various ropings, rodeos and put the best ropings on with family and friends under the Oakdale Team Roping Classic.
He was a member of the CCA, NCA, RCA, Gold Card and his true devotion, the California Team Roping Association.
He also was a partner in the R4 Cattle Company.
Marion was preceded in death by his loving mother Bell Ann Schwoerer, father Elgin Schwoerer, and brother Glen Schwoerer.
He is survived by his wife Karla of 26 years, daughter Dawn Kent and her sons, Travis and Tanner; daughter Tammy Lee and her sons, Derek and Clinton Smalley, extended family and so many, many friends, young and old.
Marion’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. Each and every one who knew Marion, knew he was a quiet, gentle, private man who loved to tell a good story.
