This month’s recipe comes from Jocelyn Meroshnekoff from Red Bluff, Calif. It was something taken from her family recipe book, so it’s a little bit of a secret! But Jocelyn was kind enough to share it with me and with all of you! So when you’re all outside on a long summer’s night practice, think ahead and try this tasty marinade!
Meroshnekoff Flank Steak
1 flank steak (not tenderized)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp. vinegar
3/4 cup oil
1/4 cup honey
1½ tsp. garlic powder
1 minced onion
Sprinkle both sides of steak with garlic powder to tenderize meat. Pierce with a fork. Mix other ingredients together, and marinate the steak for several hours (or overnight), turning occasionally. Broil several minutes; slice diagonally.
