Special To Ropers Sports News
RED BLUFF, CA – On September 17th and 18th ACTRA members from all over Northern California came to Red Bluff to punch their ticket to the Wrangler/Professional’s Choice ACTRA National Finals in Reno, Nevada October 15th thru the 23rd. A total of 536 teams roped for over $54,000 in cash and awards. The payback to the ropers was 92.3%. LMF Feed/Farmers Warehouse who sponsored the Championship Buckles designed by Skyline Silversmiths specifically for this roping made this possible. A big thanks to Jack Beck of LMF Feed and to Ryan Fowler from Skyline Silversmiths.
This was another great roping in Red Bluff; we want to thank Les Shank for the great facility and hospitality. Another big thanks to Cyndi Mitchell, Wendy Stark and Teena Blair for handling the announcing and office duties. Thanks to Joey Lorenzo for taking care of the flagging duties. Thank you to Jerroll Campbell for the cattle.
We want to thank the Directors Doug Schreter, John Donaldson, Hoyt Baker and Ryan Fowler who worked hard all year long to make this roping possible. Thanks to the arena operators Doug Schreter, Cody Jones, Justin Pearson, Cameron Moore and Alex Vigil who without their arenas this would not be possible. Last but certainly not least the members who support these arena operators and this roping.
On behalf of all the members a big tip of the hat to our President Bob Blair. Bob puts in an unbelievable amount of time and we are certainly lucky to have a president like him. As the saying goes behind every good man is a great lady, right Teena!
Congratulations to all of those who helped make this roping a success.
Be sure to check in next month for the Chapter results from Turlock, Calif.
