Randy Clifford Robinson, age 58, returned home to his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2012, in French Camp, Calif., after a two-year battle with cancer.
Randy was born to the late Vaughn Robinson and Ruth Wisdom on December 11, 1953. He is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Murial Robinson; his mother-in-law, Ann Roberts and his brother-in-law, Jimmie Roberts.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Karen Robinson; his stepson, Chris Roberts; two granddaughters, Jessica Roberts and Hailey Reynoso; his brother, Richard Robinson; his father-in-law, Jimmie Roberts Sr.; four brothers-in-law: Kenneth, Kelly, Gary and Steve Roberts; and two sisters-in-law, Lanelda Turkelle and Linda Barlow.
Randy graduated from East Union High School in 1972 and attended Delta College. He worked in construction for 40 years. He worked for Vernon Green Construction as a carpenter. He worked as a superintendent for Franco Construction, California Homes and Stone Brothers. Randy received several awards from California Homes, including Superintendent of the Year two years in a row. Randy went to work for the Place of Refuge Church and Manteca Christian School in 2008 as a maintenance technician.
Randy loved team roping and competed in the California Rodeo for many years. He had a great sense of humor, teasing friends and relatives. He loved spending time with his family.
Services for Randy C. Robinson are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 11, at 10 a.m. at the Place of Refuge Church, 486 Button Ave., Manteca.
