Reg Freeman
KLATHAM FALLS, OREGON – Rega D. Freeman was born June 2, 1947 in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to Rega and Maryallice (Susie) Freeman.
Reg grew up in a ranching family in California where he developed his love for the western lifestyle. As a young man aside from ranching and roping, Reg grew up to love baseball and became an accomplished player eventually being drafted by the Cincinnati Reds. Sticking with the family ranch, he made his way to Oregon when his family purchased a ranch in Bly, Oregon. That is where he met his beloved wife Robyn at a rodeo in Beatty. From there the two were eventually married and settled on a ranch in Klamath Falls, where they had three boys Michael, Rega, and Ryon.
Reg enjoyed many things in life including being a mechanic, baseball, hunting, golf, rodeo, and team roping but mostly he loved his family. He made sure his sons as well as his grandchildren grew up to be good horsemen, good ropers, ranchers, involved in sports and above all, how to be a good person. Reg will forever be in the hearts of all of us.
Rega leaves behind his sons, Reg (Megan) Freeman and Ryon (Amy) Freeman; grandchildren: Riley and great grandsons Jasper/Payden, Aspen, Skyler Freeman, Dakota Alvernaz, Quincie Freeman, and great granddaughter Lili Grace; Tyler and Tate Freeman. Reg was preceded in death by his wife Robyn and son Michael Freeman.
In closing, “Gramps may you drive a rig that never breaks down, hunt where the bucks are all abound, hit all your drives long and straight, and catch all your steers clean right out of the gate. I know you’ll ride a good horse for all your days and while you’re up there in heaven your entry fees will all be paid.”
