CORNING, CALIF. — Run2Win Rock N Roll Saddle Series had another fantastic race Feb. 7-8, despite torrential rains and wind.
The signature event at this race was the Slot Race that was held for horse/rider combinations that have never run quicker than a 16 flat during any Run2Win Race that has been held at the Rolling Hills Equestrian Center. The Slot Race had $1,000 added with $100 entry fees. Winning the 1D race was Sarah Clarey and Dont Make Me Cash Bad Checks with a time of 15.194 seconds, winning not only $744 in cash, but also a beautiful buckle. The 2D race was won by Sarah Ericksen, Sir Major Reed HQ, running 16.476, $496 cash and a buckle.
A 4D race was held each day with Jandee Smart and BCR Stella Bella winning the Saturday race and Angie Hardin and Cajun taking Sunday’s race.
