Spring Has Sprung!

Brandings, baby calves, green grass, and the fantastic roping weather we love…it is time we prepare ourselves to dress effortlessly with the hottest new fashions and ride in the arena like our own runways.

Pastels, polka dots, florals, color blocks, and tons of electric brights are perfect ideas of fashion trends we can make a statement in for spring and summer.

Pastels are huge this season with fresh shades of pinks, corals, and minty greens, you are guaranteed to look polished and flawless pairing a pastel top with a tailored neutral dress pant, skirt, or jeans. Pairing a pastel button up, chandelier earrings, and tying a vintage scarf around your neck always looks great, keeping the wind off your neck while riding the ranch. Polka dots are not only cute but classic. They give you a retro-chic feeling and make you look sweet and chic. Step out in a flowy blouse or a skirt and mix colors of pinks and reds with black and white polka dots. Polka dots are perfect both in and out of the arena for men and women. Colored plaid will always be around, but this season I love pairing plaid with a button up, tons of pearl necklaces, and my black cowboy hat. Color blocks are super fun and daring. They are fun and easy to wear no matter if you’d like to play them down or dare to be bold. The color palettes range from subtle to electric so we are able to choose what fancies us. You will see an abundance of dresses, silky blouses, and even boots this season.

Florals are always sweet and romantic. Pretty bold and vibrant floral colors from skirts, blouses, cute dresses, and shoes you cannot go wrong with florals this season. Men always look handsome and stunning sporting florals while running down the arena. Spanish inspired florals and embroidery are everywhere and are very fun and classy.

Electrics and neon’s have become catwalk raves in both high fashion and western fashion. From neon greens, bright pinks and yellows, you will look fabulous in your favorite boots, fun clutch or purse, skirt, dress, blouse, or blue jeans. Remember to stick with only one eye-catching bright and pair them with black to look stunning and fun. Cinch, Ariat, and Wrangler have featured tons of lime green and blue button ups for men this season.

Don’t forget about the tack! Your horse will also be dressed to the nines with all the new and rocking headstalls and breast collars. You will notice an abundance of color, prints like paisley, cheetah, and snake, along with vintage, gypsy, and rock and roll inspired conchos.

Any of these fashion statements will kick start, inspire your style, and channel your inner Fashionista cowboy and cowgirl soul. Taking risk is what it is all about. Who cares about your buddy’s snide comments, you will be appreciated by those who care, look sharp winning… and they’re just jealous they can’t rock it like you! It is very easy to compete and win in the arena wearing the latest trends while keeping it simple but making bold statements!
