Von “A” Twitchell, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, took his final ride December 31, 2014 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born January 3, 1932 in Manila, Utah. He was 82.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Bess Twitchell; their children, Robin and Carl, Patricia, Angie and Jim, Eva, Frank and Mary, Samantha; grandchildren, Travis, Shannon, Frank, Chancy, Michaelle, Clinton, Scott, James, Lucas, Kristina, Nawketa, Kelsey, Tyson, Tanya, Jessi, Jake, John, Scott, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Austin, Bob, Justin, Mckayla, Madison, Alex, Chase, Clay, Richard, Robert, Caleb, Isabella, Max, Cierra, Bryce, Ares, Thorn, Cooper, Grace, Tyler, Trent, Peyton, Skyler.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank M Twitchell; mother, Eva M Twitchell; and two sisters, Ebba Karen and Imogene Goodman.
He resided in Loma Rica for 43 years and was the ranch foreman of Sugar Loaf Land and Cattle for 36 years. He was a member of Browns Valley Sheriff Posse and a Navy veteran. He touched many lives through his work with numerous organizations such as 4-H, gymkhana, and roping events. His proudest achievements were to be inducted into the Mule Days Hall of Fame, to gain a Mule Days Lifetime Achievement Award and he was also the first man to have two great mules, Miss Kitty T, and Silky inducted as well.
A celebration of life was held January 16 at Foothill Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Bess Twitchell to help offset funeral and travel expenses.
