FALLON, NEVADA – The 4th annual “Why Not?” Cowgirl Classic exceeded producer Nora Hunt-Lee’s expectations. With the uncertainty of COVID-19 and the cancellation of Reno Rodeo, the BFI moving to Oklahoma (which also held an all girl team roping and breakaway), would there be enough entries to host the event? The resounding answer was “yes.” There were 86 entries in the breakaway and 102 entries in the all girl team roping along with 21 goat tyers. An Open American Breakaway was also held.
When the dust had settled, local cowgirls won the AA awards with Grace Felton being named the champion and Jayce Blake, reserve.
