2026 ARHFA Arizona Sun Circuit Rope Horse Futurity WestWorld Complex, Scottsdale, Arizona | February 28 – March 2, 2026
The 2026 ARHFA Arizona Sun Circuit Rope Horse Futurity drew some of the best rope horse talent in the country to WestWorld in Scottsdale, with $75,000 added across four divisions and three days of competition. Held as part of the larger Arizona Sun Circuit — the biggest AQHA circuit in the world — the ARHFA event brought out elite trainers, deep pockets, and horses that proved they could handle the pressure of a major futurity stage. From the heading pen to the heeling pen, the competition was tight and the payouts were substantial, with multiple horses and trainers doubling up across divisions to make it an even bigger weekend.
Futurity Heading Finals — Saturday, February 28
Billie Jack Saebens of Nowata, Oklahoma, took the Futurity Heading title aboard Brett Telford’s One Time Pick, posting a 229.64 round and 921.84 total to earn $23,290. Trevor Brazile placed second on Relentless Remuda LLC’s A Relentless Buzz at 921.1 for $10,400.
Rhen Richard of Roosevelt, Utah, had a standout day, placing three horses in the top seven. Sammis Big Gal took third at 919.89 for $8,667, Kynis Brookstone fourth at 912.28 for $6,356, and Captain Leggett seventh at 905.33 for $4,045. Andy Holcomb of Aromas, California, rounded out the top five on Glenn Teixeira’s Frosted Quinton at 909.57 for $5,200. Tate Kirchenschlager took sixth on Revolutionary Outlaw for $4,622, Miles Baker eighth on Relentless Kat for $2,889, and Les Oswald of Oakdale, California, ninth on Double Dualin Patron for $2,311. Total payout: $67,780.
Futurity Heeling Finals — Sunday, March 1
Kollin Von Ahn of Blanchard, Oklahoma, swept the Futurity Heeling, winning on his own Ar Metallic Man with a dominant 234.06 round and 922.85 total for $25,660, then doubling back to place third on X Performance Horses’ Rebel X at 913.1 for $9,396. Paul Eaves filled second on Steven and Carolyn Skinner’s Duel Lynx at 918.31 for $12,528 and fourth on X Performance Horses’ Hide N Go Seek at 912.88 for $7,830.
Andy Holcomb landed fifth on Kevin Wilkinson’s Oops Im Fine at 912.7 for $7,047. Jeremy Buhler of Maricopa, Arizona, placed sixth on Dthickory Hulas Mula for $6,264 and eighth on Dt Hickorys Evita for $4,698. Joseph Harrison took seventh on Dont Stopp Trackin for $5,481, Dakota Kirchenschlager ninth on Smokin Stilettos for $3,915, Logan Anseth tenth on his own Bandit Joaquin for $3,132, and Cade Rice eleventh on Hat Six Meow for $2,349. Total payout: $88,300.
Pro-Am Non Pro Heading Finals — Monday, March 2
David Winterton of Lexington, Oklahoma, owned Monday’s heading pen, riding his own Who Peeked At Me to the title at 670.89 for $12,006, then adding the Senior 50 & Over Incentive for another $4,160. Statton Wittwer took second on Beduinos Mr Good Bar at 670.59 for $9,605 and swept the Limited Pro-Am Non Pro division for an additional $7,888. Bobby Simmons placed third on Jessa Whistlin Dixie at 667.96 for $7,204, Paul Bogart fourth on Two Eyed Meterman for $4,802, Danielle Dawn Wray fifth on Sparky Showjo for $3,602, and Greg Perry sixth on Nite Time Spark for $2,801. Total payout: $40,020.
Pro-Am Non Pro Heeling Finals — Monday, March 2
Clayton Goza of Loma, Colorado, took the Pro-Am Non Pro Heeling title on Shayne C. Smith’s Rowdys Gotta Gun at 667.74 for $8,180. Levi Segura of Hollister, California, placed second on his own Kattr Rey for $6,135 and claimed the Limited Pro-Am Non Pro title for an additional $6,444. Benjamin Balow placed third on Sjr Diamond Eve for $4,090 and Dawsyn Ozcoidi of Hanford, California, fourth on Sally Carrera for $2,045. Kullen Burk of San Luis Obispo swept the Senior 50 & Over Incentive on Df Legends Pridenjoy and Git Your Gun On Line for a combined $4,224. Total payout: $20,450.
