Mel Potter & Fred Davis Win Inaugural 10 Steer Event

     The inaugural Bob Scott Invitational took place at the Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek, Ariz. Feb. 14 and 15.
     Bob conceived an idea to put on a roping for cowboys and cowgirls 50 years and over, using a USTRC #10 number system. This unique roping was a 10 steer (based on the prestigious Oakdale 10 Steer). Everyone got all 10 steers, three loops and fees were $1,000 per man. Half of the fees went to the average and half to the go-rounds. If 100 teams or more were entered, Bob Scott saddles valued at $7,000 each would go to the winners. Although the roping only attracted 47 teams, Bob stepped up and graciously donated the saddles to the eventual winners, Mel Potter and Fred Davis.
     Plans are already underway for the 2nd Annual Bob Scott Invitational.
