Nancy Sue Lopez died Feb. 20 in an automobile accident. Nancy dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She was a very patient, creative, and selfless wife, mother and friend.

Manuel Fialho entered into rest Dec. 13, 2012, at the age of 87.

Manuel was born in Stevinson, Calif., and resided the last 40 years in Turlock. 

Michael Joe Carmichael Sr. passed away in Yuma, Ariz., Jan. 19, 2013, from complications with COPD and pneumonia, and was surrounded by his family.

M.J. was born in Southern California to Mike and Merle Carmichael. He was taught to rope at the local jackpot arenas by his father Mike Carmichael.

Rudoll Glenn Ugland of Paso Robles, Calif., went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2012.

He was born in Maywood, Calif., on Dec. 8, 1938, to the late W. Rudolph and Tille Ugland. After graduating high school he worked for Fat Jones’ Stables. He later joined the army and served at Fort Polk, Louisiana where he worked for the military police and in the horse stables. 

Carl “Sonny” Worrell, one of the top timed-event hands of his generation, died Jan. 28 at his home in Stonewall, Okla. He was 76.

Worrell was the PRCA steer roping champion in 1978 and qualified for 14 National Finals during his career – five times making it to the National Finals Rodeo as a tie-down roper and nine times to the National Finals Steer Roping.
