Wickenburg, Arizona – For eight days (Nov. 29-Dec. 7) ropers from across the country made their way to Rancho Rio in Wickenburg along with the state’s iconic Dynamite Arena in Cave Creek, where they competed during Yost Events’ Las Vegas week for a $2.5 million cash payout—surpassing 2019’s $1.9 million payout.
Held each December in the Team Roping Capital of the World, Ty Yost’s Las Vegas in Wickenburg, is consistently one of the top five team roping events in the nation alone, for both payout and total teams. This year more than 7,200 teams competed in every division from the Open down to the #8.5 with high divisional payouts across the board. Blair Lammers, Hartford, South Dakota, and Arye Espencheid, Big Piney, Wyoming, picked up the biggest check of the week when they pocketed $36,400 in the #14.5 Big Gamble on Monday, November 29.
