FALLON, NEVADA – The junior ropers headed to Nevada to rope in a Jr. BFI Open and Jr. BFI #10.5 Roping. In order to qualify to rope in these ropings, you must be 19 and under. The fees in the Open were $600 per man and $350 in the #10.5. These ropings were held during Reno Week and produced by California Shootouts.
Kreece Thompson and Denton Denning topped the field of very talented open ropers. They roped their four steers in 27.28, winning $8,000 each. They also won their fees paid to the Jr. BFI that will be held in Guthrie, Oklahoma, in 2023.
Devon McDaniel and Trey McFarlane roped their four head in 30.0 to win $5,000 each in the Jr. #10.5 Roping.
